House League Registration InformationUpdatedSaturday November 13, 2021 byLakeshore Minor Basketball Association.
Hello LMBA Families,
On behalf of the LMBA Executive team I would like to share with you some really exciting news.
On Sunday November 21st our House League divisions will effectively start their season. Due to the impacts of Covid 19 and limited options to secure a facility, we are happy to announce that we are partnering up with the Port Hope Recreation Centre located at 62 McCaul Street to provide our youth 15 weeks of skills development and playing opportunity. The team and I understand that this is a big change for the LMBA and our families but we want to ensure that our youth and volunteers are hitting the courts in the safest manner and having fun. Divisions included in this year’s season are U10, U12 and U14. Unfortunately due to limited interest that was received during the pre-registration timeframe and limited space we will not be proceeding with a U17 program for the 2021-22 season.
IF YOU HAVE PRE REGISTERED YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER NOW FOR THE SEASON. YOUR SPOT WILL NOT BE SAVED UNTIL PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED. PLEASE SEND AN ETRANSFER TO lmbaofficeandbookings@gmail.
Registration is now open, please visit https://lmba.powerupsports.
Please note that Covid 19 protocols are in full effect, are being policed by Port Hope Recreation and all persons entering the facility over the age of 12 will require proof of receiving both doses of the vaccination. In addition to Port Hope Recreations policies the LMBA has some additional measures that are being implemented starting November 21st.
· All players and volunteers must come fully dressed in advance of entering the facility, only tear down of outer clothing and changing into indoor shoes will be permitted within the facility. Please provide youth with a bag to hold all contents.
· Only 1 parent will be permitted to enter the facility with a player(s) of the same family.
· All players must come prepared with 1-2 full bottles of water. There will be no sharing of bottles permitted.
In efforts to focus on developing our youth’s skills and getting the most out of game time, the LMBA is also happy to announce that we are taking a different approach to how the time on the court will look. The U10’s and U12’s will be participating in 2-5 skills driven components for ½ hour of their court time and 55 minutes of game time. Our U14’s will primarily be focusing on game time with some skills driven opportunities in advance of the games depending on time.
· U10 (years 2012-2014) 10:30 am – 12:00 pm *capacity 40
· U12 (years 2010-2011) 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm *capacity 40
· U14 (years 2008-2009) 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm * capacity 40
I would like to thank you for your patience and continued interests in seeing that the 2021-22 season takes off. As we all work through this together I would ask that you please forward all questions and or concerns to the email@example.com and a member of the Executive team will be in contact within 72 hours.
Thank you very much and happy playing.
